Event Recap: Lightning2049

The Lightning2049 event, a premier Lightning Network-themed side event held during Token2049 Singapore, was jointly organized by Lnfi Network, Bitdevs SG, HashKey Capital, and Waterdrip Capital. The event brought together top Lightning builders, projects, and visionaries from across the globe to showcase the power of collaboration and community in strengthening the Lightning Network.

With over 1,200 people expressing interest in attending, the turnout was overwhelming and far exceeded the venue’s capacity, underscoring the immense interest in Lightning developments.

Our lineup of distinguished speakers featured representatives from leading Lightning organizations, including APRO Oracle, Breez, BiHelix, Bitlight Labs, CELL Studio, CMS Holdings, Joltz Wallet, Utrexxo, UXUY, Stroom Network, YakiHonne, and the event organizers themselves. They shared their latest insights and innovations in the Lightning Network ecosystem and adjacent sectors.

A broad spectrum of cutting-edge topics were covered, including:

Following the main event at OGBC, we celebrated with a Happy Hour at Joo Bar, where we set a new record for the largest Lightning payment ever processed there, totaling $4,029.35. Over 50 new Lightning users had hands-on experience with the capabilities of stablecoins on Lightning through Flash Accounts, developed by Lnfi, showcasing the real-world power and potential of Lightning payments in action.

As we look ahead, Lightning2049 solidified the message that the Lightning community is not just a collection of projects but a united force working towards common goals.
